All IPM programs at the University of Arizona are organized within the APMC, an umbrella organization directed by the IPM Coordinating Committee, a steering committee made up of UA faculty and stakeholders from across the state with expertise in entomology, plant pathology and weed science.

The APMC maintains five program foci: Detection & Diagnostics, Agricultural IPM, Community IPM, IPM Assessment and Pesticide Education. Within each focus, program teams actively develop, manage, support and implement UA's IPM programs. The IPM Program Manager provides leadership, manages communications, and provides support to faculty for needs assessment activities, proposal development and program evaluation. The IPM Coordinator has statewide responsibility for all aspects of the IPM programs, manages the resources, convenes the IPM Coordinating Committee, and submits federal reports.

Our IPM programs are staffed by an energetic, but limited number of faculty and staff from multiple departments, agricultural centers and counties. To maximize our efficiency and impact, we have organized several Working Groups at the state and regional level. Most working groups are made up of UA faculty and partner organizations that engage in strategic program planning to enhance IPM implementation.

The APMC contributes to Strategic Planning for IPM at the state and regional levels, through Working Groups, Pest Management Strategic Plans (PMSPs) and other stakeholder-driven processes, such as the 2006 Arizona Pest Management Center Summit.
