Noxious and Invasive Weeds

While most weeds may be bothersome, there are a handful of weeds that get special attention in the hopes of deterring them from further infesting the state. These weeds are known as noxious weeds. Invasive weeds also get special consideration due to the potential harm they could cause if they were to permanently establish themselves within the state.

Panic liverseedgrass is a relatively new problem weed occurring in turfgrass in the low desert region of Arizona. It is invasive and federally listed as a noxious weed. Herbicide use and efficacy information is limited to row crops or noncrop areas.
