Corn earworm:
CEW moth counts increased significantly in the past 2 weeks, considerably higher than the previous 2 summers.
Beet armyworm:
Trap counts remain active in some locations (Yuma Dome Valley and Tacna) but significantly lower than last summer
Cabbage looper:
Cabbage looper numbers remain low consistent with the lack of activity this fall compared to last season.
Diamondback moth:
DBM counts very light and lower than previous 2 seasons.
Whitefly:
Adult movement continuing to increase rapidly, particularly in Dome valley and Yuma Valley consistent with melon harvest.
Thrips:
Thrips adult movement highest in Dome Valley, Tacna, and Gila Valley comparable to this time last year.
Aphids:
Aphid movement has been absent for the past month similar to what we typically observe in the summer.
Leafminers:
Adult activity has highest in Gila Valley, and above average for mid-June.
