Summary:
The Agency received an application from Dow AgroSciences to register
the new active ingredient sulfoxaflor for control of piercing/sucking insects such as
aphids, mealybugs, psyllids, plant bugs and whiteflies on commercial ornamentals and
turf grass, barley, triticale, wheat, brassica leafy vegetables, bulb vegetables, leafy
vegetables and watercress, leaves and roots of tuber vegetables, berries (grape, blueberry,
cranberry), canola, fruiting vegetables (tomato, pepper, eggplant) and okra, pome fruit,
potato, stone fruit, succulent and dry beans, tree nuts and pistachio. The purpose of
soliciting public comment is to give the public an opportunity to provide questions or
concerns so the Agency may properly address them.
